How the face age test works

A neural network trained on many face photos of known ages learns which visual cues go with which age. When you add a photo, the tool first locates your face and 68 landmark points on your eyes, brows, nose, mouth and jaw. The model then predicts an age from the face it sees. Around that, the tool measures skin features such as fine lines near the eyes and forehead, under-eye darkness, evenness of tone and texture, and turns them into 0 to 100 scores.
